Adopted Comprehensive Land Use Plan

In August of 2022, the Nash County Planning Department released the draft materials for the proposed new Comprehensive Land Use Plan to the public in a series of open meetings. The results from the series of public meetings were presented to the Steering Committee on September 8. The Steering Committee studied the feedback received on these materials and the result is the Draft Comprehensive Land Use Plan. The Planning Board met on Monday, October 17 at 6:30 PM in the Nash County Administration Building, 120 West Washington Street, Nashville NC on the third floor in the Commissioners Room to review the draft plan, consider recommending for adoption, and hear from the public. The Final Plan was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on November 7th, 2022.

The materials presented at the public meetings – including the Public Meeting Presentation, Poster Boards, Plan Recommendations, Future Land Use Map, and Character Area Descriptions - may be viewed on the resources page.
